Day 1
Fly to the San Jose International Airport. Upon arrival you will
be met by one of our representatives, at which point your
itinerary will be explained and questions answered. You will
also be provided with a packet of vouchers and information about
your trip. From the airport you will be transported to Hotel
Hampton Inn. Only minutes away from the airport.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel, on this day an agent from the Rent a Car
office will give you a car and after that you will drive to
Hotel Arenal Paraiso, located in La Fortuna viewing the Arenal
Volcano. Some of the best views of Arenal are 6 to 8 kilometers
west of La Fortuna.
Day 3
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Canopy Tour, expert
guides assist you in this exciting journey through the different
layers of the virgin rain forests and explain what's going on
around you, from the time you leave the ground, until you rappel
back down to the forest floor. Once your work-out has concluded,
take a short horseback ride to the soothing natural hot springs
in the area, where you can ease all of your cares away. By the
time you have lunch and a few drinks you'll know you've just
participated in a truly unique and amazing experience! After
that you return to your hotel.
Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel, on this day a tour operator will take
you to enjoy the Hanging Bridge Tour. We spent 2.5 hours hiking
on their superb trails that were produced by embedding a
concrete grid into the ground and allowing plants to grow over
it. Several bridges span deep chasms, some of which have an
excellent view of the nearby Arenal volcano. During this hike,
we found ourselves pelleted with small, and not so small,
branches courtesy of a group of Capuchin Monkeys. Then return to
your hotel.
Day 5
Breakfast at the hotel, on this day you will drive to Tamarindo
Guanacaste, stay at Tamarindo Diria Hotel. This beachfront
resort offers 113 rooms and two spectacular pools, one which is
the biggest in Tamarindo. Manicured tropical gardens surround
the property. A buffet breakfast is included.
Day 6
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Sunset sailing cruise,
explore the coastline, while we wait for the Pacific Ocean
Sunset and this breathtaking color, seek for dolphins, turtles
and jumping manta rays. From December to March you can spot
humpback whales, pilot whales and sperm whales. Then return to
your hotel.
Day 7
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to enjoy Snorkel Adventures,
explore the coastline on a state of the art sailboat and visit
nearby secluded bays accessible only by boat. Your guide will
assist you for a snorkeling adventure to explore beautiful reefs
with plenty of marine life. Search for dolphins, manta rays,
whales and turtles among other marine species in the area. Enjoy
a delicious lunch before you return back to shore with the best
of memories. Then return to your hotel.
Day 8
Breakfast at the hotel, on this day you will drive to San José
at the Hampton Inn and return the car to the Rent Car
representatives.
Day 9
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the international airport
for your flight home.
