Barra Honda
Caves Expedition
|
Visit with your guide the unique Barra Honda National Park. We
will start our exploration of the Tropical dry forest by hiking
up to the entrance of the caves. As we descent in to the caves
you will be in a surrealist underground setting, characterized
by the constant sound of echoing drops and twisted shapes formed
by hardened calcium. After wards, enjoy lunch and visit to
Guaitil Indigenous Artisans Village.
Recommendations: Is not recommended for claustrophobic people or
afraid to the dark. Hiking shoes, camera, binoculars, shorts,
sunscreen. Good for physical condition required.

Tenorio River

Paddlers will be delighted with this wet & wild experience
combined with lush river side scenery. This tour includes lunch
on the river bank and sandwiches, fresh fruits, natural

a short 15 min walk to the buses before you drive back to the
hotel.

Turtle Nesting
Tour (December trough February )

Every night from December to February, one of the most amazing
natural history tours in Costa Rica is available on the Guanacaste coast. This unforgettable adventure allows you to
witness the nesting ritual of one of the largest retails on the
Earth: the leatherback sea turtle. These massive turtles drag
themselves up onto the beach to lay their eggs at the same
nesting site they have used for countless generations.

This boat expedition explores a protected inland waterway, while
enjoying magical ecosystem of the Tamarindo mangrove estuary and
observing such interesting wildlife as howler monkeys and an
array of birds. Sea kayaks are available as well, being a

Sunset sailing

Ocean Sunset and this breathtaking color, seek for dolphins,
turtles and jumping manta rays. From December to March you can
spot humpback whales, pilot whales and sperm whales.

Snorkel Adventures

Explore the coastline on a state of the art sailboat and visit
nearby secluded bays accessible only by boat. Your guide will
assist you for a snorkeling adventure to explore beautiful reefs
with plenty of marine life. Search for dolphins, manta rays,
whales and turtles among other marine species in the area. Enjoy
a delicious lunch before you return back to shore with the best
of memories.

San Rosa Park
Natural History & cultural Tour

After a guided scenic drive through Sabanero (cow boy) Country
to the put-in location, enjoy a two hour cruise on the Tempisque
River being the nearest access to world famous Palo Verde
National Park home to hundreds of migration water bird species.
Among other creatures you might see monkeys, scarlet macaws,
iguanas, crocodiles, caimans and occasionally smaller mammals on
the rivers banks. Enjoy a visit as well to Guaitil indigenous
Artisans Village.

Rincon de la Vieja
National Park:

Visit the Tropical forest at Rincon de la Vieja for a truly
learning experience on Costa Rica biodiversity. Your experience
naturalist guide will provide an interpretation of the forest
trails while you discover at first hand why our country offers a
4% of the world’s total flora and fauna species. Closed on
Mondays.

Adventure

This full day expedition features a guided visit to Guachipelin
Lodge, next to Rincon de a Vieja National Park. On site, visitor
will have the opportunity to enjoy the trills of a canopy, tour
through the Rio Blanco Canyon, a tubing adventure on the Rio
negro River with class III rapids, horse back riding expedition
to nearby waterfalls, previous to relax at a rustic spa
featuring thermal waters, steam and mud bath.

Floating Expedition

A great experience for nature lovers! This floating adventure on
rubber rafts over the Corobici River allows visitors to observe
the lush riverside bordered by Ceiba Mahogany and Guanacaste
trees. This excellent opportunity for bird watching and other

Heliconias
Rainforest & and Hanging Bridges

Located on the foothills of the Tenorio Volcano, this 2200mts
long trail, allows a 2 1/2h walk, with many stops to see the
amazing Giant trees and surrounding forest.
We will walk over 4 bridges over the forest canopy, ranging from
35 to 40 mts height. Excellent opportunity for observing birds,
butterflies, and bromeliads of the rain forest canopy and become
immersed in the splendor of the tropical rain forest.
After the walk we will enjoy a typical lunch with a beautiful
view of the Miravalles Volcano and Nicaragua Lake.

This tour combines an exhilarating horseback riding adventure
